The 12-Day Uganda Gorilla & Kenya Great Migration Safari is an unforgettable East African adventure that combines rare primate encounters with one of the greatest wildlife spectacles on Earth. This journey begins in Uganda’s lush rainforests, where you will track chimpanzees and come face to face with endangered mountain gorillas in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. You will then fly to Kenya to explore the legendary Masai Mara, home to the Big Five and the dramatic Great Wildebeest Migration (seasonal). From dense jungle to endless savannah, this safari offers extraordinary wildlife, diverse landscapes, and rich cultural experiences.
Upon arrival at Entebbe International Airport, you will be welcomed by your driver-guide and transferred to your hotel. Depending on your arrival time, you may relax or take an optional visit to the Entebbe Botanical Gardens or enjoy views of Lake Victoria.

After breakfast, begin the scenic drive to Kibale Forest National Park, known as the primate capital of East Africa. The journey takes you through tea plantations, traditional villages, and rolling countryside.
Arrive in the afternoon and check in at your lodge near the forest. If time allows, enjoy a guided walk in Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary, famous for birds and monkeys. Dinner and overnight near Kibale.
After an early breakfast, head to the park headquarters for a briefing before your chimpanzee tracking adventure. Trek through the forest with rangers to observe habituated chimpanzees and other primates.
After lunch, drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park, Uganda’s most popular savannah reserve. Arrive in the evening for dinner and overnight.
Begin the day with an early morning game drive in the Kasenyi Plains, where you may spot lions, elephants, buffaloes, antelopes, and warthogs.
In the afternoon, enjoy a boat safari along the Kazinga Channel, known for its large concentrations of hippos, crocodiles, elephants, and abundant birdlife. Overnight in Queen Elizabeth National Park.
After breakfast, drive through the scenic Ishasha sector, famous for its tree-climbing lions. With luck, you may see lions resting in fig trees.
Continue to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, home to nearly half of the world’s mountain gorillas. Arrive in the afternoon and relax at your lodge as you prepare for the trek. Overnight in Bwindi.
After an early breakfast, report to the park headquarters for registration and briefing. You will then begin your gorilla trekking experience, guided by expert trackers through dense rainforest.
The trek can take several hours, but the reward is spending one magical hour observing a gorilla family in their natural habitat. Return to the lodge for lunch and relaxation. Optional cultural visit to a Batwa community in the afternoon. Overnight in Bwindi.
Transfer to Kihihi or Kisoro airstrip for a domestic flight back to Entebbe. Upon arrival, connect to your international or regional flight to Nairobi, Kenya. On arrival, transfer to your hotel.

After breakfast, transfer to Wilson Airport for your scheduled flight to the Masai Mara. Enjoy aerial views of the Great Rift Valley before landing at a Mara airstrip.
Your guide will meet you for a game drive en route to your lodge or luxury tented camp. Afternoon game drive in the reserve. Overnight in Masai Mara.
Spend a full day exploring the Masai Mara. Between July and October, you may witness dramatic Great Migration river crossings along the Mara River. At other times of the year, large resident herds and predators provide outstanding wildlife viewing.
Picnic lunch in the bush and overnight at your camp.
Enjoy another day of game drives across the rolling savannah plains. The Mara is famous for its high concentration of lions, cheetahs, and leopards, along with elephants, giraffes, zebras, and buffaloes.
Optional hot air balloon safari at sunrise (extra cost). Overnight in Masai Mara.
After a relaxed breakfast, enjoy a final short game drive before transferring to the airstrip for your flight back to Nairobi. Upon arrival, transfer to your hotel for relaxation or last-minute shopping.
