Day 1: Arrival in Nairobi

Upon arrival at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, you will be warmly welcomed and transferred to your luxury hotel in Nairobi. Depending on your arrival time, you may relax at the hotel or enjoy an optional visit to the Giraffe Centre or Karen Blixen Museum.

In the evening, enjoy a safari briefing and prepare for your adventure. Overnight in Nairobi.

Day 2: Fly Nairobi to Masai Mara

After breakfast, transfer to Wilson Airport for a scheduled or chartered flight to the Masai Mara. The flight offers stunning aerial views of the Great Rift Valley and Kenya’s vast landscapes.

Upon landing at a Mara airstrip, your guide will meet you and begin your first game drive en route to your luxury tented camp. After lunch and some relaxation, head out for an afternoon game drive across the rolling savannah plains.

Day 3: Full Day Migration Safari in Masai Mara

Spend the day exploring the Masai Mara in search of the Great Migration herds (best between July and October). Your guide will track wildlife activity and position you for the best viewing opportunities.

You may witness dramatic river crossings at the Mara River, where crocodiles wait and predators follow the herds. Even outside crossing moments, the Mara is rich in wildlife including lions, cheetahs, leopards, elephants, giraffes, and hyenas.

Enjoy a picnic lunch in the bush or return to camp for a hot lunch depending on your preference. Overnight at your luxury camp.

Day 4: Masai Mara – Big Cats & Balloon Safari Option

Another full day in the Masai Mara allows deeper exploration of different regions of the reserve. Early mornings are perfect for spotting predators on the move, especially lions and cheetahs.

You may choose an optional hot air balloon safari at sunrise, followed by a champagne bush breakfast — an unforgettable luxury experience over the migration plains.

Day 5: Masai Mara to Mara Conservancy

After breakfast, enjoy a short game drive as you transfer to a private conservancy bordering the Masai Mara. Conservancies offer a more exclusive safari experience with fewer vehicles, off-road driving, and night game drives (not permitted inside the main reserve).

Arrive at your luxury camp in time for lunch. In the afternoon, enjoy a game drive in the conservancy, with chances to see lions, elephants, and nocturnal species later in the evening.

Day 6: Migration Viewing in Mara Conservancy

Spend the day exploring the conservancy and nearby migration routes. The private areas often provide quieter and more intimate wildlife encounters, ideal for photography.

Depending on the season, herds may move between the reserve and conservancy lands, giving excellent opportunities to follow the migration away from crowds. Optional guided nature walks with Maasai guides may also be arranged.

Day 7: Final Safari Activities in Masai Mara

Enjoy your last full safari day with morning and afternoon game drives. Your guide will focus on any wildlife sightings you may have missed, whether it’s tracking a leopard, revisiting a lion pride, or searching for elephants along the riverine forests.

In the evening, relax at camp and enjoy a farewell bush dinner under the African sky.

Day 8: Fly Masai Mara to Nairobi – Departure

After an early breakfast, transfer to the airstrip for your scenic flight back to Nairobi. Upon arrival, you will be met and transferred to Jomo Kenyatta International Airport or a day room at a hotel depending on your flight schedule.
